Mitchell Long, DODr. Mitchell Long is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon with comprehensive expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal trauma, and complex spinal deformity. He provides advanced surgical care for conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, with a focus on patient-centered treatment and optimal functional outcomes.

Dr. Long completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Nassau University Medical Center, a Level I trauma center, where he gained extensive experience managing high-acuity injuries and complex musculoskeletal conditions. He then pursued fellowship training in spine surgery at Upstate University Hospital, also a Level I trauma center. There, he trained under nationally recognized leaders in complex spine care and further refined his skills in advanced techniques, including minimally invasive procedures and complex reconstruction.

His clinical expertise includes degenerative cervical and lumbar spine disorders, cervical disc replacement, minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal trauma, adult spinal deformity, complex spine reconstruction, and revision spinal surgery.

Dr. Long has authored multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented his research at national meetings in the fields of orthopedics and spine surgery. He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics.
