Dr. Masood is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon who cares for patients throughout Long Island and the greater New York City area. He completed advanced fellowship training in complex, minimally invasive, and endoscopic spine surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania - consistently ranked among the top medical centers in the nation. This training allows him to perform cutting-edge, less invasive spine surgeries which result in smaller incisions, less pain, quicker recovery, and minimal scarring for his patients.
Dr. Masood treats a wide range of brain and spine conditions, including tumors, degenerative spine problems, traumatic injuries, and spinal deformities. He takes a comprehensive approach to evaluate and manage all types of brain and spine disorders to provide the best possible care tailored to each patient.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Masood is an active contributor to the field of neurosurgery. He regularly publishes his research and presents at national medical conferences, helping to advance the latest surgical techniques and improve patient outcomes.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed medical school at the University of Cincinnati. He then completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, one of the country’s most respected residency programs. To deepen his expertise, he completed a competitive fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on cutting-edge spine surgery.
Dr. Masood and his wife are happy to call Long Island home and are passionate about serving their community.
